KINGSTON, Jamaica – Afreximbank held its first roadshow in Kingston on June 2, 2026 to highlight Jamaica’s growing role in Caribbean trade and investment.

Under the theme “Empowering Jamaica’s Growth”, the event followed Jamaica signing Afreximbank’s Partnership Agreement in July 2025 and the bank’s approval of a USD 5 billion financing facility for the Caribbean.

The roadshow brought together government officials, business leaders, and financial institutions. Afreximbank introduced its financing, trade, and investment solutions to Jamaica for the first time, while also learning more about the country’s trade priorities and opportunities.

Finance Minister Fayval Williams said the partnership with Afreximbank is strengthening and urged Jamaican institutions to engage more to unlock two-way trade and investment between Jamaica and Africa.

Afreximbank says it remains committed to expanding Africa-Caribbean trade through better access to finance, investment capital, and advisory support.
