Their time in the country, as part of the “Mexico 2026 Tour,” involved not only musical performances but also a direct immersion in the urban cultural fabric, particularly in emblematic spaces like Tepito.
The neighborhood as a meeting point
Far from traditional commercial circuits, the tour was developed in collaboration with local collectives. Mr. Nowak explained that his stay in the capital resulted in a comprehensive experience:
“We did a really cool circuit thanks to the Barrio Warrior collective... we were at artistic events, hip-hop workshops for children, and training spaces for artists,” he explained.
The activities included performances in independent venues and workshops focused on the music industry, demonstrating an interest in strengthening the scene from the ground up.
For his part, Zetta One emphasized that, although a date in Guadalajara wasn't finalized, connections have already been established with collectives like Mercenarios Crew, which opens the door to a future expansion of the tour within Mexico.
An Immediate Cultural Dialogue
The encounter with the Mexican audience—renowned for its discerning tastes within the rap scene—was, according to the artists, a positive experience that confirmed the cultural affinity between the two countries.
“We know that the Mexican audience is very demanding... but they treated us wonderfully,” stated Sr. Nowak, who also highlighted the cultural proximity as a key factor: “There’s a common ground that makes connecting very easy.”
Collaboration as the Cornerstone of Growth
Beyond the stage, the tour led to new musical productions. Zetta One confirmed the recording of tracks with members of the Barrio Warrior collective, while Sr. Nowak hinted at the consolidation of future alliances.
“We recorded two songs... and we forged connections that will allow us to build bridges between artists from Mexico and Medellín,” he explained.
Colombian rappers Sr. Nowak and Zetta One are strengthening the alternative scene through alliances in neighborhoods, workshops, and new musical productions.
